Is a Registry Cleaner program the Same as an Anti Virus Program ?No, it is a completely separate program altogether. Anti virus programs check for defined software that are known to be malicious programs and either remove them or isolate them through a quarantine process. Although the virus may have been removed, the registry can be left with literally hundreds of errors in it that the anti virus program, by reason of it's design, is unable to repair. If you have been infected by a virus, you will most likely need a registry repair program to correct the problems it caused, even after it has been removed.
