Scott @ Thomas Auto Latest RIPOFF StragegiesJust when you thought it couldn't get ANY worse.... When I went in the next day after I picked up my car (Satruday, remember, I went in 3 times), Scott tells me to "come back Monday"... Buncha bull... these guys invented the idea of "giving you the run-around" I went in Tuesday night and setup an appointment for the following saturday to fix the following two MAJOR problems: 1. the check engine light has been on steady 2. the rear-right tire leaks, leaks very bad (would go flat in 48 hours if not filled) On Saturday Scott tells me there is a problem with financing. He says the finance company is having a "little argument" with them. He say he wants the car back, and wants to give me something else. "Something cheaper" He tells me he wants to give me a similar car, same year, with lower mileage, all for a "lower monthly price" Do I have "idiot" written on my face? I play dumb (these guys really think I'm falling for all of this bullshit). He offers me the original Grand Prix... WTF? Didn't Scott tell me the Grand Prix's montly price was too high, that it was gonna end up being $500/month? What now? That somehow mysteriously changed? I am glad that I insisted Ron make a copy of every paper I signed for the deal that is already in my possession. All the papers are signed and it says so in the paperwork, Scott, there are no verbal contracts, that all the binding contracts are the ones we signed, and those papers say the deal can be revoked if there is a "mutual" agreement. There is no way in HELL I will agree to cancel the contract. To Summarize Scott / Thomas Auto Latest RIPOFF Stragegies: Even though I paid for the car as "certified" there were problems with the wiper blades and now the tires -- and every time I go into their office to get these problems fixed, Scott tells me to "come back" on another day. This is illegal. The other major issue is, he wants to revoke the deal and cancel the contract that we both signed, telling me that he wants to give me a car that is equal in value or better for a "cheaper montly price" (but I know the final price and the initial deposit will be mountanous, I'm no idiot Scott Lith!!!!) My Next Step: I'm going to make all my contacts with Thomas Auto in writing, including the request for service for the problems with the vehicle and the problem affecting vehicle safety. I will send a request via registered mail, also file a complaint with the Ministry of Transportation. There will be penalties to pay now, now that I have everything on paper, (this time they DON'T have me by the balls -- it's the other way around) someone is going to pay. and it ain't gonna be me.
