Free Megaupload and Rapidshare Style File Upload-Hosting ScriptHotscripts rejected my entry for uploadscript, saying they don't accept beta versions of software. They also said I could correct this and resubmit. That I did. Figured it was working without a hitch so I removed the "Beta" suffix from the script, the site, and the demo site. Resubmited and got accepted into Hotscripts. Works out nicely too. I get listed in Google at or near the top for these search terms: "uploadscript", "free upload script", "upload script", "rapidshare upload script", "megaupload script" and a few others. Hotscripts sends about 100 unique visitors a day. Listed on the first or secnod page of their category listing (under file maniuplation). Noticed a few people already using the script, so I think people like it. Bought a few more domain names for the project since Registerfly had some 48Hr specials on. Here are all of the ones I have so far:
Created a complete upload site uploadfactory.com (slightly modified verson of uploadscript) and posted it on namepros.com appraisal thread for an appraisal. Shitty response from them. I even gave my input to several appraisal requests with a signature asking for an appraisal. Got one response as follows: "Depends, I would tell you to develop it more. Great name tho easy to remember. I would maybe buy it in the Low XXX" Yeah... and now my post is at the bottom of page 2 with no further response. Fukk that. I"m bumping the fukker. Hey, others are doing it there and getting away with it, and there is nothing in the rules either (yep, I read 'em). Bumpity bump bump.
Lastly, adding a nice title for this post for ye olde googlebot's next visit. ;) Oh, if you want the script, get it here: Upload Script v1.0: Free Megaupload and Rapidshare Style File Upload/Hosting Script
